Emerging Asia Cup : Nepal lose to India by 7 wickets

Nepal lost the first match against India U23 in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. Playing their first match of the tournament india defeat Nepal by 7 wickets.

India won the toss and elected to field first. Nepal were allout for 193 runs from 44.5 overs. Pawan Sarraf was the top scorer for Nepal. Pawan smashed 2 sixes and 7 fours and made a 49 ball 56. Coming in at number 3, Sharad Vesawkar made 44 runs off 76 balls with a four and a six. Opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 28 while Karan KC contributed 20 runs towards the end of the innings. Captain Gyanendra Malla once again disappointed as he was bowled in the second ball he faced.

Saurabh Dubey was the pick of the bowlers for India as he finished with the figures of 4-26 from 7.5 overs. Yash Rathod picked up 3 wickets while Parth Rekhade chipped in with 2 wickets for Indian team.

India in reply got off to a good start with openers Aryan Juyal and BR Sharath. Sharath was out to Sushan Bhari for run a ball 49 while Juyal scored 29 runs before getting bowled to Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi. Sanvir Singh was the top scorer with 56 runs. Armaan Jaffer and Yash Rathod remained unbeaten on 51 and 7 runs respectively.

Karan KC, Sushan Bhari and Lalit Rajbanshi shared a wicket each for Nepali team.
